When choosing panels for decoration, many people first compare colors and textures, as long as they look good. Upon moving in, I discovered that the countertop had been pressed with marks, the walls had been scratched, and the bathroom door panels had become damp and swollen. The core value of materials such as decorative fire-resistant panels lies not in color, but in hard indicators such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and moisture resistance.

1、 The wear resistance level determines where it is used

Wear resistance speed is a key parameter. A household countertop with a rotation speed of 300 or more is generally sufficient, while for commercial spaces such as hotel front desks and restaurant countertops, it is recommended to have a rotation speed of 600 or even 900 or more. Public places have a high flow of people, frequent friction on the tabletop, and low wear plates lose their luster within a few months. Before making a purchase, ask for the number of revolutions, don't just listen to vague terms like "imported" or "high-end".

2、 High temperature resistance and flame retardancy are two different things

High temperature resistance refers to the ability of the surface to withstand hot pots and cigarette butts for a short period of time without leaving any marks, while flame retardancy refers to the material itself being non flammable and non combustible. Both the kitchen countertop and the surrounding area of the stove should be considered. Some boards have beautiful colors but insufficient flame retardant rating, which cannot pass the commercial kitchen inspection.

3、 Moisture resistance affects lifespan

In humid environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, and laboratories, the water absorption and expansion rate of boards should be low. Anti double special high-pressure decorative board has high density and low water absorption rate, suitable for bathroom partitions and humid areas. Ordinary fire-resistant boards are fine for use in dry areas, but caution should be exercised when used around shower areas.

4、 Processing and installation are equally crucial

No matter how good the board is, problems such as broken edges during cutting, loose edge sealing, and inadequate moisture resistance of the glue can still occur. We need to find suppliers with processing capabilities for irregular countertops and curved walls. They can provide on-site measurement, factory customization, and professional installation in one go to ensure reliability. Poor joint treatment, water vapor seeps into the gaps, and the board bulges from the inside.

5、 Three points to consider when selecting suppliers

When it comes to whether there is a stable source of genuine products, the board industry has a lot of cross selling, and the quality of unclear sources is not guaranteed; Secondly, check the processing equipment and technology to see if they can produce irregular shapes, holes, and edges; After checking the after-sales service, problems with sheet metal products often occur several months after installation, and whether the response is fast or not directly affects the use.

Board is something that can be used for a long time. If you choose the right one, it won't need to be replaced for ten years. If you choose the wrong one, it will cause trouble every day.
